Centered Solutions specializes using Applied Behavior Analysis as a tool towards living a more meaningful life. It is a scientifically proven type of therapy that can improve a variety of behaviors, such as social skills, communication, academics, adaptive learning skills, and executive functioning. At centered solutions, we take a holistic approach- recognizing that each client is an individual. Interventions always recognize the whole person and their unique circumstances. Services can be delivered in the home, in school, or in a variety of settings.
Meet The Team
Lauren Bacotti M.S.Ed, BCBA
Clinical DIrector
Lauren Bacotti is a board-certified behavior analyst with over twenty years of experience delivering behavior analytic services. She is committed to providing developmentally appropriate, evidence-based services to children and young adults. During her time working as a behavioral analyst she has worked with a diverse caseload of children and families in both the school and home setting. Lauren prides herself in building trust -based relationships with families, while delivering high-quality services.
Mark Lampert Psy.D, BCBA, NYS-LBA
Dr. Mark Lampert has been working with children diagnosed with a variety of disabilities including those that fall along the autistic spectrum for over 27 years. He began his experience at Douglas Developmental Center at Rutgers University. Throughout his career, Dr. Lampert has worked in many different positions in the special education field including teacher, school psychologist, behavior analyst, family counselor, college professor and public speaker . He has presented on such topics as social skills, bullying, disability awareness and addressing challenging behaviors in the classroom. Dr. Lampert is a New Jersey certified Special Education Teacher, New Jersey certified School Psychologist, Board Certified Behavior Analyst and has received his doctorate in psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Dr. Lampert has worked in the capacity of a school psychologist/behavior consultant for the Valley Program (a public school program servicing children with autism) as well as an adjunct professor of psychology at St. Thomas Aquinas College. In addition, he has helped develop and provide instruction for a private non-for-profit organization (Voices Now!) dedicated to providing social skills instruction to students diagnosed with autism and providing parent training. Dr. Lampert is thrilled to be part of the Centered Solutions team and to use his experience to support children in need.
Kathy Vuoncino, M.Ed, BCBA
Kathy Vuoncino has over 40 years of experience in the Special Education field. She has taught special education students ages 3-18, with a range of disabilities. She also worked as an LDT-C for many years in a public school setting. She was an administrator for the past 22 years in the Valley and TIP Program, a public school program for students with autism and emotional/behavior needs and related disabilities, as the Principal and Director of Region III Special Education. She is a certified Special Education teacher (K-12), Elementary School teacher (K-8), Preschool teacher, Learning Disabilities Teacher-Consultant, School Mental-Wellness specialist and School Administrator. She became a BCBA in 2003. Kathy was the Director of a weekend recreation program for special needs participants for over 35 years called Project Success. She is the proud grandmother (a.k.a.-"Mom-Mom") of three beautiful grandchildren. Kathy has a passion for creating a respected and trusting relationship with the families of her students and working closely to help make their lives better for their child and themselves. Working for Centered Solutions is an opportunity to share her knowledge and years of experience, as well as work together with amazing staff and parents.
Marissa Zito M.S.Ed, BCBA, NYS-LBA
Marissa Zito is a board certified behavior analysis and New York State licensed behavior analyst. She received a masters in special education in 2016 from Saint Thomas Aquinas College and an ABA graduate certificate from Arizona State University in 2021. She has been working in the field of special education and ABA since 2016 providing specialized instruction in the school and home settings. Throughout her career, she has worked with a wide age range of students to support their learning and behavioral needs. She strives to work closely with families of her clients to ensure the treatment approach and goals meet their child’s unique needs and align with the family’s values.
Elizabeth Apollo M.S.Ed, BCBA
Liz Apollo is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst who has been working in the field for over 12 years providing behavioral support and instruction to adolescents, young adults and their families. Throughout her career, Liz has worked with a wide-range of clients ages 3-21 providing school and home-based instruction. She holds an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education & Exceptional Student Education from Palm Beach Atlantic University, a Masters degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, and a certificate in Autism Studies from Ball State University. Along with her degrees, Liz is a certified Mindfulness Instructor and School Mental-Wellness Specialist. Her particular interest is in serving individuals with complex mental health profiles and challenging behaviors; combining behavioral interventions with her comprehensive knowledge of trauma-informed care. She specializes in using these skills to provide her clients with programs that address their behavioral needs while fostering their social emotional awareness. She has a passion for sharing her expertise with families who may not have access to such support. She works closely with Hackensack Hospital and the Dravet Syndrome Association to provide parent training and behavioral support In her free time Liz enjoys being at the beach with her family and any outdoor activity.
Christina Benaquista M.S.Ed, BCBA
Christina Benaquista has been working in the field of autism since 2014. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary and Special Education. She also has her early childhood teaching certification. She taught pre-k and primary (K, 1, 2) self-contained classes at the Valley Program for 6 years. She has her Master's Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, as well, from Ball State University and is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). She is passionate about collaborating with families, schools, and other professionals to ensure the best quality of life for all clients.
Mary Petrovici M.S.Ed, BCBA
Mary is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst specializing in students with behavioral and therapeutic needs. She has a devoted interest in working with youth and their families in the home-based setting. Mary successfully collaborates with families, home-based providers, school counselors, social workers and other professionals to ensure quality services. Mary serves as Program Coordinator for Park Academy, a specialized school for students from second through eighth grades with emotional and behavioral needs. She has over 10 years of diversified special education experience.
Matthew Dunn M.A, BCBA
Matt felt the calling to work in the field of applied behavior analysis after actively volunteering at a camp for children and adults with disabilities/special needs when he was in high school. He earned his master's degree in ABA from Ball State University in 2020 and has been working in the field in various settings. He initially gained experience working with children in a school setting, then transitioned into providing both in-home and in-clinic services. Matt currently provides attentive and quality behavior therapy for children in a plethora of group settings and takes pride in his line of work. Every day is an exciting new adventure with the creative and unique children he gets the privilege to work with.
