ABA therapy

ABA therapy in New Jersey, built around one child at a time.

Centered Solutions is a BCBA-owned practice providing applied behavior analysis across New Jersey and select areas of New York — at home, in school, and in the community. Every plan starts with a fresh assessment of your child, and a named BCBA stays close to the case.

In plain language

What applied behavior analysis actually is.

ABA is the study of how learning and behavior work, applied to the goals that matter in a specific child's life.

In practice, ABA means looking closely at what a child can already do, what they're working toward, and what the situations around a behavior are teaching. From there, a behavior analyst builds a plan that teaches skills — communication, daily routines, play, flexibility, independence — and reduces the behaviors that get in the way of them.

Progress is measured, so the plan can change when the data says it should. Good ABA doesn't look like a worksheet. Early on it often looks like play, because a child has to be comfortable with a person before they'll learn from them.

Where care happens

Care in the places your child actually spends time.

At home

Most of our work happens here — routines, communication, and daily living skills in the setting where they need to hold up.

At school

Functional behavior assessments, IEP development support, and program consultation with districts throughout New Jersey and select areas of New York.

In the community

Skills practiced where they're used — stores, playgrounds, appointments, and the everyday places families go.

By telehealth

Available where it fits the plan, most often for family training and caregiver coaching sessions.

More about in-home ABA therapy
Your care team

A BCBA and a behavior technician, working as one team.

The BCBA (board certified behavior analyst)

Assesses your child, writes the treatment plan, and supervises the work. The same BCBA stays with the case as goals change, so you're not re-explaining your child to someone new.

The behavior technician

Runs the day-to-day sessions and carries out the plan. Every clinician is credentialed and background checked before they work with a family.

How a plan is built

From assessment to a plan you understand.

Hours and goals come out of your child's assessment rather than a standard package.

  6. 06

    Care begins, and adapts
