In-home care

In-home ABA therapy, where the routines actually are.

Most of our work happens at home, because that's where mornings, meals, transitions, and bedtime happen. Sessions are run by a behavior technician and overseen by a named BCBA who knows the case.

What a session looks like

Early on, a lot of it looks like play.

That's the point — pairing comes before teaching.

In the first sessions, the technician is building rapport so your child is comfortable working with them. From there, goals get woven into structured teaching, play, or daily routines, depending on how your child learns best.

Session length and weekly hours follow the plan that came out of your child's assessment and your family's routine, rather than a standard package. If a smaller schedule is the right place to start, that's what we'll recommend.

Before the first session

What we ask of you during in-home sessions.

  • An adult needs to be home

An adult other than the clinician has to be present in the home for the full session. You don't have to be in the room, but you should be reachable.

  • A workable space

Nothing formal — a consistent spot where your child can focus and the materials in the plan can be used.

  • Consistency where you can

Let your team know as early as you can if you need to reschedule. Consistency is what makes ABA work, and we'll flag it if cancellations start to affect progress.

  • Your read on what's working

You see your child in far more hours than we do. What you notice between sessions shapes the plan.

Family training

Parent coaching, so the skills hold up after we leave.

Family training is a covered service, not an add-on we hope you'll ask for.

What it involves

Structured coaching sessions with your BCBA on the routines you named as priorities — practiced together, adjusted as they go, and revisited as your child's goals change.

Why it's part of the plan

A skill that only appears in session isn't finished. You help set the goals that matter in your home, and the BCBA works with you so those skills carry into the rest of the week.

Other settings

When school or community sessions make more sense.

Where care happens is a clinical decision, and it can be more than one place.

Functional behavior assessments, IEP development support, and program consultation with districts throughout New Jersey and select areas of New York.

Community sessions

Skills practiced in the places they're needed — stores, playgrounds, appointments, and everyday outings.
